While the REVOLUTION project takes an enormous team to make sure things are running smoothly, there are two individuals we’d like to highlight this month that are crucially important.
Frank Beltre (left), Project Financial Manager, and Ken Potter (right), Project Construction Manager, work as a team onsite in San Juan de la Maguana, with firsthand involvement on the project on a daily basis. Among many other things, these two have helped maintain close oversight and supervision to ensure that the precious funds donated are stretched as far as possible and that wise construction decisions continue to be made. These aren’t easy roles and we hope you’ll continue to pray for these two talented and hardworking men.
For recent project updates, we’d like to encourage you to take a look at Ken’s Blog. It’s been a slower month when looking at physical progress on the land, but that doesn’t mean A LOT hasn’t been going on! The two main areas of focus this month have been the new government standards set in place for the quality of land on which the clinic will be built and our desire to receive a tax exemption on building costs that will result in huge savings. Frank and Ken have been working tirelessly to make sure all details are in place to move forward.
Another exciting update is that electricity has arrived to the clinic site!
All workers on the job site are feeling extremely grateful to have this convenience going forward! Going into September, we’ll be keeping you informed as always on the construction progress. If everything goes as planned, we hope to continue moving along with more project construction during this month.
Current financial numbers for the project as of 8/31/15 can be seen below:
As always, please keep in mind that there are many ways you can get involved! Please consider the following options for how you can make a difference:
PRAY – We covet your prayers for this project! Pray for the safety of construction teams on the job site and for our ongoing financial needs to complete the budget. Pray for the lives that will be touched for years to come and ask that God will use the clinic as an incredible tool to reach and help the lost in the San Juan region.
SERVE – Join a construction team! Lead a construction team! We have a great need for laborers right now and would love to have you and your friends, family, church, and co-workers get some hands-on involvement! To learn more, contact Kamanda at kbucher@solidrockinternational.org!
