Level Three Status Achieved!

The clinic has now been serving the region in its new location for seven months. In this short time, the clinic’s operational abilities and expansion of services already being offered to the community are extremely impressive. New surgical specialties have been made available through partnerships with both Dominican and North American professionals. A strong focus has been placed on training opportunities, including topics such as biomedical education, laboratory, blood bank, maternity care, emergency, and nursing. Preventative healthcare is a growing focus for the clinic, and the new facility has already been utilized to host special events such as free PSA testing and educational gatherings on colon cancer awareness. These new and expanded services have been received well and promoted well thanks to the clinic’s professional media team responsible for their new website and social media platforms.

Most recently, the clinic received its level three status and has begun the negotiation process with insurance companies. This is a big and exciting step! The ability to accept insurance will then allow the clinic to become cash flow positive, thus decreasing the need for SRI financial support. Going forward, fundraising will continue in order to cover the final project deficit.

Blood Bank Updates

In a recent social media update, the clinic shared the image above with the following caption:

“On the occasion of celebrating World Blood Donor Day, the Clínica Cristiana de Salud Integral (CCSI) called on the community to participate in blood donation sessions, an action that it described as a noble work that not only saves lives, but is also a gesture of solidarity and hope for those who need it most. The blood bank of the Clínica Cristiana de Salud Integral is open and ready to receive all volunteers who wish to make a difference. Together, we can continue to build a community where solidarity and mutual care are the pillars of our well-being.”

The blood bank was recently highlighted in a news publication at www.enfoquedelsur.net, celebrating and drawing attention to the clinic’s efforts on World Blood Donor Day. SRI mission team members have also stepped up in support of the blood bank by donating blood during their time in San Juan. As of July 11th, SRI has had a total of 24 volunteers donate blood!

Thank You!

We praise God for the continued successes and growth of the clinic! Be sure to follow along on the social media accounts of both the clinic and SRI as well as the clinic blog for all of the latest news. Thank you for your continued prayers and support of the clinic as it adjusts and grows into its new scope of service!
