Thank you for helping us reach our initial fundraising goal! After a little more than a year of promoting the REVOLUTION clinic project, we have surpassed our initial goal of $2,000,000 of cash and pledges. We are happy to say that with this funding, we are now in financial position to begin the construction of the building. Thank you so much to all who have decided to contribute to this project and sacrificed finances in order to help us get to this point. Thank you for believing in SRI’s work in the Dominican Republic and for showing your support by giving to the REVOLUTION. We also thank the Lord for allowing the project to move forward as we work through details and make plans for what is to come.

As we’ve steadily inched closer and closer to our groundbreaking goal of $2,000,000, SRI staff, board members, Dominican partners, missionaries, and volunteers have all been hard at work preparing for the next steps. Arrangements continue to be worked out in anticipation of an official groundbreaking ceremony by the end of this year. We are grateful to be financially secure so that we can begin to move forward with these exciting plans.
With construction going into 2015 and beyond, we will have a great need for construction teams! Please consider joining or leading a group from your area to be a part of SRI and San Juan history! Volunteers who helped build the original clinic and guesthouse in the late 1980s have great memories of the early days that make return trips even sweeter. Both skilled and unskilled laborers will be used as volunteers, working alongside Dominican professionals and SRI project managers. Please contact us with any questions you might have about getting involved in the REVOLUTION construction!
Besides construction of the building, our next challenge will be to continue fundraising for the final $1,000,000 needed to complete the project budget. Our clinic staff are looking forward to being able to provide new services to the community that it has not been able to offer in the past. SRI feels blessed to be in partnership with IMEC (International Medical Equipment Collaborative) as they will provide refurbished equipment for a great price. Each room in the clinic will be packed and sent as a complete suite that will be ready to use upon arrival.
